Tailored Double Court House Set for Flinders, Mornington Peninsula
Coming Soon: The Double Court House in Flinders, Mornington Peninsula
We are excited for Lifespaces Group to bring a modified Double Court House to life in Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula.
Designed by Auhaus Architecture, the Double Court House was conceived for larger blocks - a single-storey family home that feels both generous and modern. Its signature layout wraps around two expansive courtyards, creating a a series of interconnected indoor and outdoor spaces with every room enjoying a garden outlook.
Known for its dual courtyard design, strong horizontal lines and rhythmic material palette, the Double Court House strikes a beautiful balance between privacy and openness, drawing light and nature deep into the home.
For this particular site - a heavily treed block with strict town planning conditions to respect the surrounding landscape and neighbourhood character - the design has been carefully modified to suit our client’s needs.
The customisations include:
A reimagined front façade inspired by the softer aesthetic of the Courtyard House
Natural timber finishes in lieu of the dark black stain usually seen on the Double Court House
Gable roofing with cathedral ceilings to elevate the main living, dining, kitchen and master bedroom wing
The addition of a pool
The result will be a refined, contextually sensitive home - a design that embraces its natural setting while offering the timeless elegance of Auhaus Architecture’s original vision.
The home is set to commence construction in late 2025.
